Supporting Parliamentarians on Analysis and Research in the Constituency (SPARC)

Policy makers and administrators today have an opportunity to make use of the big data revolution for better delivery of services. While there is a presence of large disaggregated data sets, they are not utilized to their full potential.

Tata Trusts through SPARC aims to support members of parliament (MPs) in their constituency development programmes. The SPARC associate programme offers a unique opportunity to young professionals to work with the members of parliament from across India to support constituency development programmes. The scope of work could range from supporting a MP to pilot a self-help group (SHG) programme that could employ more women to strategizing on how to spend MP Local Area Development Funds (MPLADS) to create a larger development impact.
